Pok deng is what?
Originating in Thailand, Pok Deng (Thai: ป๊อกเด้อ) is a gambling card game. Pok Deng’s gameplay technique
Though it is advised for three to nine individuals, Pok Deng can be played by two to seventeen people, including the dealer. Players first choose a dealer to handle the whole game. One person can remain the dealer for several rounds, or participants can agree to change roles as dealers.
Every game runs from a few seconds to several minutes. Except the dealer, every player stakes a bet on the table in front of him or her using cash, chips, or small things like wrapped sweets. Every player plays against the dealer without vying with other players.
The dealer chooses to move clockwise or counterclockwise, shuffles a regular 52-card deck, and delivers two face-down cards, one at a time, to each player, finishing with himself. When it comes time for their turn, the remaining cards serve as a draw deck for players to use.
Guidelines for playing
Pok Deng acts in the sequence the cards are dealt in. The player may decide not (stand) or draw a card (call) during their turn. With one card taken from the top of the draw deck, a player only has two or three cards total per game. Seventeen is the highest number of players before running out of cards, as every player can only have three cards.)
Should a player’s initial two-card deck feature a team (explained below) of eight or nine, he or she has the poker (Thai: 𝛊อก) announce it and instantly show those cards face down. The player cannot draw further cards from this good deck.

Should the dealer have pok, those cards are turned face down, therefore all players’ decks are matched with the dealer’s.

How can one figure points and organize cards in Pok Deng?
Depending on the contents of their deck, players will either win or lose. Like in poker, there are card configurations that can raise the value of a deck beyond the components. The team represents, in unit digits, the total value of the cards in a deck. Cards two through nine have value based on their printed number. There is zero value on the 10, J, Q, K cards. For instance, Pok Deng with a deck of two and five has a tag of seven; a deck of ten and four has a tag of four; and a deck of K and Q has a tag of zero. Depending on their hand arrangement, deng is a multiplier used in relation to players’ bets:
Normal deng: a deck of cards devoid of any particular card arrangement with a deng equal to 1.
With a deng equal to 2, a three-card deck consisting of three cards of the same suit (hearts, diamonds, diamonds or spades) deng straight.
A three-card deck with two identical cards—say, 5-5-9—with a deng equal to 3 is known as deng pair.
With a three-card deck of three identical cards—say, 4-4-4—a deng equal to five.
